Eliot
ended up with me quite spontaneously. His sire (Jones) had
caught my undivided attention at more than a few past shows.
And in my musings over the puppy photos sent to me for posting
on Halcyon's new website, I found myself evaluating them every
time I posted new ones. The little "Blue Boy" eventually
won out. He needed a show home and when his breeder said he
was available, I jumped at the chance to co-own this little
boy.
He is quite the adventurous one, and has shown caution with some
things, but is very soon investigating. He has a bold, but very
biddable personality, and has won my heart already.
Eliot immediately tagged Bailey, my Maine Coon cat, as his wrestling
buddy. Only Eliot comes up with far more fur in his mouth than
anything else!
As Eliot grows up, I'll be adding photos, and more editorial
as time goes on. Check out his gallery photos for your amusement.
Update June 2006: Bailey has gone to live with
a dear friend who recently lost his wife and needed a four-legged
companion. From what I hear, Bailey has completely adjusted to
being the ONLY pet and is liking it much better than sharing
it with three rowdy Gordons.
Update March 2007: Eliot has grown into a very
BIG boy at nearly two years of age. Almost as tall as Zorro,
and just as handsome. He still has that puppy
attitude and is immediately best friends with any human who walks
in the door. With Zorro, he is on equal terms. At times, I believe
Eliot gets the upper hand, but neither is ever aggressive. For
two intact males, they surprisingly never offer a
disagreeable
tone to each other. With Jade here, and approaching her first
heat cycle, they take turns being the flirt with her, but are
never competitive. Zorro and Eliot's favorite pasttime is to
lure the other away from his toy, and then steal it!
Update February 2008: Eliot went to his first serious show and scored 2 points for his silly efforts. |
